On March 10, 2024, SeedAI hosted a marquee Hack the Future event at the SXSW 2024 conference, a full day of programming that brought together policymakers, the tech industry, creators, and the AI workforce of tomorrow. The event featured engaging panels, demos from AI creators, red-teaming exercises, and networking opportunities. SeedAI’s event emphasized the importance of fostering environments where AI can be co-created, evaluated, and actively shaped through responsible frameworks and informed policy decisions.
Hack the Future is part of SeedAI’s broader initiative to ensure AI benefits are accessible to all. The program is organized by SeedAI in partnership with the Wilson Center’s Science and Technology Innovation Program and builds on the momentum from the Generative Red Team Challenge at DEF CON 31, where thousands of people tested AI generative large language models (LLM) built by Anthropic, Cohere, Google, Hugging Face, Meta, NVIDIA, OpenAI, and Stability AI for bias, potential harms, and security vulnerabilities.
