Program & Events Manager

Program & Events Manager

Washington, DC · Full-time

SeedAI is a DC-based 501(c)(3) working at the intersection of government, industry, and the research community on AI policy and adoption. The team is small and uses AI tools in daily work.

This role owns the operational spine of SeedAI's recurring convening work: FYSA, our monthly off-the-record AI policy briefing for Hill staff; AI Primers, monthly moderated panels at congressional venues; and AI Across America, a multi-state workshop series. You'll report to the Director of Strategic Engagement and work closely with the Director of Policy and the CEO.

You're probably a fit if:

  • You have at least three years of DC work experience and serious event coordination or program management experience within that time.

  • You've run or staffed events in or around government venues and understand what that actually takes.

  • You write clean, professional email and can hold a complicated thread across multiple institutions and audiences.

  • You're meticulous, open to feedback, and not afraid to ask for help. You take direction well during ramp-up and run with things once you're up to speed.

  • You have real interest in AI policy and are comfortable or enthusiastic to learn in an AI-native working environment.

This probably is not a fit if:

  • Your events experience is primarily hotel, corporate, or hospitality work with no DC policy or advocacy dimension.

  • You don't get some enjoyment out of tending to the details and making sure something is done right.

  • You want a role with heavy supervision and a narrow brief. After ramp-up, this is a self-directed seat.

  • You're uncomfortable with AI tools or skeptical of the work.

Compensation:

  • $72,000–$90,000 base depending on experience

  • Excellent health insurance

  • 401(k) launching July 1, 2026

  • Healthy paid time off
